About Me

I have always loved to draw and paint. After receiving a BA degree in design and painting from James Madison University, I entered the fashion world as a retail buyer and merchandiser. Although I loved my job, it offered me little time to spend with family or to pursue my passion for painting.  So after nineteen years, I resigned and am now finding my way back to the world of arts and crafts.

I welcome your feedback and requests.  All custom orders are to be pre-paid.  Your satisfaction is important to me, and guaranteed.

If you are interested in offering my pieces for sale in your own retail business, please contact me regarding minimums and pricing

About My Art

Much of the inspiration for my patterns and designs comes from extensive exposure to European fine arts and crafts. Because the pieces I create are beautiful to look at and add elegance to everyday tasks, many of my clients refer to my work as "functional art."

I use paints which are specifically designed for use on glass.  Each piece is carefully painted by me using only brushes, paint, and good light.   No stencils are used, and unless requested, I never make identical items.  Each design requires many layers of paint and each piece can take anywhere from 3 hours to 3 weeks to complete. Once completed and dried, the paint is then baked to a hard, water resistant finish.

These washable art pieces are made to be used in the home. Water will not take their paint off or diminish their design. However, scratching and rubbing against other dish ware (i.e. in your dishwasher) will. I suggest that you carefully hand wash each item.
